Three things to look for when learning a map

RUSTLERS maps

Learning a map starts with understanding safer routes, before memorizing every corner. Focus on these three questions during your first matches.

Where am I exposed?

Check the directions from which you can be seen when entering an area. If you keep getting eliminated at the same crossing, try a different approach or wait for your team. Marking your position on a screenshot helps other players offer more specific advice.

Where is my team?

Consider whether teammates are close enough to support you when you move forward alone. An early loss can make the next move harder, especially in modes without respawning during the round.

Where is the objective?

A position that works in Duel might not protect a bag carrier in Loot. When writing a guide, include the map, mode and version in the title or opening paragraph. Explain why a route works: show which risk it reduces rather than only saying “go this way.”
